Knowledge is not intelligence. Knowledge is something we obtain after repeatedly performing a skill or being trained in a skill.Knowledge has nothing to do with intelligence. We can have an IQ of 212but we would never have the knowledge about everything there is to know.People always are learning and practicing through their whole lives. From reading words in textbook such as car, bike or toy, people develop concepts and ideas.
They further understand the actual meaning of these words by playing toys and riding a bike. It's hard to say that which one is more important because each source have its own advantage. However, from my point of view, obtaining knowledge through my practices is better because it makes me remember knowledge better and I also can use my knowledge to apply in my jobs.Firstly, books open an unlimited bound of knowledge for all of us to discovery. If you want to know about history of your own country, a history book can talk to you very clearly.
Secondly, books save us a lot of time and money to obtain knowledge. For example, you wonder how Hawaii is. Easily, with a photographic book about Hawaii or a tourist guide book, for one or two hours, you can not only know about the history and many famous place in Hawaii but also see many beauty photos, which were taken there. Therefore, you don't need to dream about a chance to travel to Hawaii, which is really impossible with your conditions.
Reading can include the newspapers, magazines, work- or school-related books, fiction, and books on subjects of interest. Reading fiction cannot only get you involved in the story, but is also a source of useful facts and representations of how people act and think. Books and magazine articles can teach, as well as give opinions of the authors. You should not only read about things you are interested, but also be curious enough to look into new material and different subjects
